Equipment Source Co. (ESC) was incorporated January 6, 1986, in the state of California. Principal offices are located at 1777 Yucca Road, Oceanside, CA 92054-6156. Prior to incorporation, the business was known as E. T. Flagg Co., a sole proprietorship. This company was started in 1984 to represent a US engine manufacturer for the sales of their equipment for the then newly developing landfill gas generation alternative energy market.
ESC incorporator, E. Thomas Flagg, President, has more than thirty years of power generation equipment sales experience. Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Flagg worked for several Caterpillar and Waukesha engine dealer/distributors in international sales and other management positions.
ESC specialized in the marketing of remanufactured, surplus, new and used power generation equipment. As an independent representative, we were not restricted to any specific manufacturer. The development of many projects was helped by ESC's recommendations of turnkey contractors, design engineering and, in some projects, financing. ESC has also helped liquidate power generation facilities by securing new owners for generation equipment.
As a power generation broker, ESC has represented an extensive clientele in the sale and purchase of equipment. Clients include m.e.p. Industries (Fairbanks Morse OP gas engines), Waukesha-Pearce Industries (a large Waukesha engine distributor), Hawthorne Power Systems (Caterpillar), Rolls Royce (formerly US Turbine), and BVA Cogen. We also worked with Stewart & Stevenson to develop a number of gas engine related projects.
In June of 1999 through January of 2005, Equipment Source Co. started a manufacturer’s representation line of equipment to support the southern California, Las Vegas, and Phoenix area engine dealer/distributors with ancillary equipment. Our line card included Cutler-Hammer (auto transfer switches and generator circuit breakers), Enercon Engineering (electrical switchgear and generation product packaging services), Cain Industries (exhaust heat recovery equipment), Turner EnviroLogic (turbine SCR, thermal oxidizers, emission controls), Rocore Industries (industrial radiators), Mueller Heat Transfer Products, Thermal Transfer Products, American Tool and Engineering (enclosures and metal products), Cain Industries (HRSGs for engine applications) and Johnson Matthey (manufacturers of SCR catalyst exhaust systems). In addition, we represented other manufacturers on an informal basis.
ESC’s contacts are worldwide. Past and repeat customers include governmental agencies, utility and water districts, oil companies, alternative energy developers, major manufacturers, equipment packagers, and mining companies. ESC has also been involved in equipment and turnkey sales for many landfill gas and cogeneration facilities nationwide. Landfill gas generation sites have ranged in size from 800 kW to over 14 MW.
We look forward to assisting you in the marketing of your power generation equipment. Please call us to discuss your sale or purchasing requirements. |
